KS2 SATs style arithmetic, maths reasoning, grammar, spelling and reading for ages 7–11. Short runs with a retro-arcade look. Free to start.
KS2 SATs are the national tests children in England sit towards the end of Year 6. In maths there is an arithmetic paper and two reasoning papers; in English, a reading paper and a grammar, punctuation and spelling paper. Writing is assessed by teachers in class rather than in a test.
Puzzitron practises each tested area in short, KS2 SATs style runs. Arithmetic builds speed and accuracy, with order-of-operations questions that take a typed answer. Reasoning uses word problems and the curriculum topics. Grammar questions cover word classes, tenses, punctuation and sentence types, and reading questions ask your child to find information, infer and explain vocabulary from a short passage. When they are ready, Test mode has an arithmetic paper (30 questions in 30 minutes) and a maths reasoning paper (36 questions in 32 minutes), each against the clock.
Free to start, with every skill area and 20 questions a day; see pricing for what Plus adds. For the maths topics in more depth, see 11+ maths: the same topics, set out one by one.

Name the word class, pick the right tense, choose the punctuation, and tell a statement from a question, command or exclamation.
Spot the word that is spelled wrongly. A different task from the dictated spelling test, but it builds the same word knowledge.
A short passage, then one question about it: finding information, reading between the lines, or explaining what a word means in context.
